What an amazing week!

New Stargate Origins Series
So I’ve been shooting all month on the new Stargate Origins series for MGM, of which, I’m in the principal cast. Wahoo!!
If you’re not familiar with the Stargate franchise, it started with the movie Stargate in 1994 starring Kurt Russell and James Spader and spun off several other series such as Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and now Stargate Origins.
People from all over the world have already been contacting me about my experience. Someone from Russia messaged me and told me he had set up my Stargate Wiki page! I hadn’t even known there was a Stargate Wiki! Now I know! Thanks Vladimir
My Behind the Scenes Stills
Ok. So many of my friends said they only saw me once in this teaser. So when I told them I’m in it 4 times, several wanted me to point out those times. So here’s for you all who want those specifics.
At :30 seconds in to the behind the scenes trailer, I slash at my huge and talented opponent in a little knife fight.
At 1:07 we’re watching the monitors and my back as I slash away at this huge dude. He was awesome to work with! As were the stunt coordinators!
This is how it appears on set to the director and producers and crew watching the action being captured by the cameras.
At 1:22 right after we shot the fight, you can almost tell how tired I am. That was exhausting! And we shot over the course of 2 days!
This was shot on the sound stage for the set we referred to as ‘Tent City’.
At 1:45 into the Behind the Scenes footage, you get a good shot of my face, sitting in this awesome vehicle. As you can probably tell, I’m looking up at some undisclosed awesomeness in front of me.
You can also see the ginormous camera that makes all those pretty movie images facing me through the windshield.

Being on Actor on the Stargate Origins Set
As an actor it’s my job to take the writer’s material and put my take on it with the director. Bring it to life off the page. And it’s been really easy so far with this great show.
Shout out to Justin Michael Terry, one of the writers who’s also one of my fellow cast members. He and Mark Ilvedson have done a great job writing this for MGM.
And it’s been great working with director Mercedes Bryce Morgan. She’s so easy going, works well with actors, and has an amazing eye… as you’ll see when it comes out.
The entire cast and crew is fun and amazing, and I’ve had a great time.
Nico Aguilar, the director of photography and his team, are absolutely incredible. All the footage straight out of the camera looks amazing! You can just walk around the set, look at the monitors during a take, and it already looks like its ready for broadcast even before any post production.

Ellie Gall, playing Catherine Langford, is so wonderful. She’s so kind, funny, and a great actor. I’ve got a story coming up about her when I post my Stan Lee’s Comic Con blog post in November.
And last but certainly not least, Connor Trinneer, playing Professor Langford has been a gem. He and I have a lot of scenes together, and as a fan of Star Trek Enterprise, I’ve been trying not let him see how much I’ve been fan-girling to be working with him. My wife and I just re-watched Enterprise last year on Netflix, and I was so excited to see him at the auditions, I can’t even tell you. And he’s great. A great actor, funny, personable, and just a great person to be around.

Because of the publicity and sensitivity to spoilers and themes, I am not allowed to say much about our characters or setting or anything.
We’re not allowed to post photos or videos from the set, or talk about hardly anything. Which makes it a fun mystery and secret to keep. Ahahaha!
